How-do, Race Fans. It has been a while since we have posted. 2017 has been a cra-cra year. We're glad it's almost over. (Um...)
Seriously, rumors of our demise have been greatly exaggerated. We are alive and kicking. We've just been swamped. And...
Right now, today, we are supposed to be in Portugal for a day -as a stopover on our way to Munich for the job-slash-day-gig. We cancelled the trip due to some personal events that require our attention. And thus a quick commentary on the nature of the "swamp" we find ourselves mired in. This has left little room for all the boxes out there that we would like to rehab and bend into "new."
Additional events have been hovering around the fact that we are looking to welcome our latest Box Bend Crew member. That's code for a Box Bend pregnancy. No worries, though; we finally have a TV in the bedroom. And the Amazon Sneaky Pete series has caught our attention.
Speaking of screwy, work (that is, the day gig) is also transitioning as the surrogate mothership in France takes cues from the huge mother... ship in Belgium. They are vigorously dressing the bride. That is, they are preparing to sell our division/company to the highest bidder. So, as one can imagine, the team at our US office has needed some additional consideration.
However, swamps, procreation, and Europeans have not completely snubbed out the candle that burns for the old double-B. We are waiting for the CO on our new build -Hazel Baby. The gymnastic routine on the permit process has been fuel for the impatience fire that we often feel at the end of a project. Stay tuned as we stay neutered on this one.
We are also waiting for a signature and a check on an option to lease some of our Moncure property. The tortoise crawl on this one has been another exertion in trust, faith and patience. And we are also waiting on one "event" to put the old farmhouse on the land under a separate contract.
Richmond Road is cleared/cleaned and will be sold.
And Barbour Store is getting a man-I-cure... as our buddy (a man) cleans, fixes and repairs this bad boy. Here's some snaps:
He has been busier than a one man show in a modular home rehab...
Oh. And we had some snow.
Other than that, we engaged in a little photo shoot with our business partner at C21. It involved a Triumph Street Cup. Can you say, "Vroom, Vroom?"
So, we're not dead. As they might say down here, "That's where we've been, son."
