Well, well, well...
We are back after a week of movies stars and fast cars and at least one good meal on the Malibu pier at the aptly named Malibu Farm. (By the way, the restaurant near the start of the peir, and the one at the end of the peir, are owned by the same people, but are differing slightly in menus.)
LA is always interesting, but gets old after spending hours upon hours behind the wheel. And, not much got done on the business side from a personal standpoint. However, both our realtor and our contractor made big efforts in the past week while we aggressively drove an Audi A4 up and down the PCH for our day gig. They were here -in Dixie -fighting the good fight.
Hazel Baby -our new build -was held up once again by permitting. This time around, it was a clean out for the plumbing and, believe it or not, the slope of the lot. Evidently plumbing finally passed on Friday. Nothing is known on the slope issue/status as of 5:41 this morning, but we are confident that we will find out more soon.
Our realtor has been busy with Richmond Road -our potential "wholesale to others" property, and Barbour Store property. Additionally, he has been out on a top secret scouting mission looking for a thing for this other thing that we might do with some things later on down the road. We could clarify, but then we would have to silence you. And no one wants that type of thing.
On top of all this, it sounds like we are within spitting distance of registering our new land subdivision with Lee County. This is the old Moncure Road property -which is now under two separate LOIs -Letters of Intent -for a 20 acre, and a 52 acre chunk, respectively.
Suffice to to say that we are back and scratching like usual... that is, when we aren't traveling for, to, or from work. Or when we aren't catnapping due to Road weariness. (Like our friend, "Fire Nuts" -shown below.) (He's an old soul that has taken up attempting to read coffee table children books in between naps and licking his furry unmentionables -although... we think we already mentioned them.) At any rate...
