Welcome back, Race Fans.
Hazel Baby (our new build/spec home) gets a few last punch list items taken care of, and a wonderful little spit and polish treatment from super Realtor, the mighty Jud, today. (Judson from Century 21 Triangle Group here in the Triangle of Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill.). We are pretty stoked. The appraisal came in at list price. ($309,000 -in case you were wondering.). Combs Electric is going to do a once over today on all things Electric. And then, folks, we are off to the races. Oh... We have one window that needs replacing, but it is on order and should be here soon. That won't stop us from rolling forward. And, knock on whatever you want -wood, Formica, plastic, a small and fast moving furry animal -we may have a buyer already lined up. We won't count that chicken before it is hatched, but let's just say that we're in the car and possibly headed to KFC. Stay tuned.

This week might see a double header for the old double B. Usually a game is called for a rain delay. But in our case we're thinking that the long drought may finally be over. Is that rain on the horizon? Rain would be good.
All this to say that we may be listing Richmond Road and Hazel by Saturday. Stay tuned. Greetings Race Fans! We've been out of the Box Bend mode for a few weeks due to a huge personal event in our lives. Our apologies. We have that event fresh on or minds, but (cue Aerosmith) we are baaaaack... back in the saddle again. It's good to be back. And not fighting with Joe Perry. Hazel has has been playing the pass-inspection-fail-inspection game, but we are finally moving with a permanent power pole going in today. Yippee! (As our four year old would say.) Ye big ol' bad listing should be on the docket soon, your honor. Main is slated to pick up the pace again next week.
Barbour Store is being manhandled into a state of refinement and grace. However, spoiler alert, we may keep that bad boy as a rental. We'll see. We are going to get back to listing Richmond Road. Honest. We promise. And we are still debating our strategy for the Lot on Hazel 2. Small house. Sell the lot. Secret lair. Or nuclear facility for a NATO super power. Decisions?, decisions. The other big, big news is the ongoing flamenco dance we are doing with the Spanish company from Madrid, Barcelona, or some other city in beautiful Spain. (They told us, but we've forgotten.). We are literally within a hair's breadth of inking this deal on a long term lease for 52 of our 72 acres. But, it is not over until the topless fat lady sings on the beach, Rodrigo y Gabriella play their covers of Metallica with a Spanish flair, or Gaudi finishes his gorgeous Sagrada Familia. Or until we ink this deal. At any rate, stay tuned. |
